After we receive your referral or inquiry, we will contact you efficiently and swiftly to arrange an initial telephone consultation with you. Sana, who is our experienced Counsellor and MD will make the first point of contact with you to arrange a mutual time to discuss your issues.
This is your time to ask us any questions about the way we work and how we can support you during a difficult time. We would also like to know a little bit about you so that we can pair you up with the right and the best therapist for you.
Your therapist will contact you to arrange the first session. You will discuss your thoughts and concerns with your therapist and what you would like to gain from counselling. Your therapist will ask you to complete some basic assessment forms to help them understand your situation and to provide you the best support.
Everything you discuss in the sessions is confidential, your therapist will discuss more about confidentiality in your first session and some exceptions to this in the case of significant risk to you or anyone else. We comply with GDPR requirements.
We work with diversity and are currently offering our services in 4 different languages, these include: English, Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi.
Absolutely, we offer telephone sessions as well as online. We use a very easy online platform and are happy to assist you if you need help. Alternatively, we can offer you telephone sessions. We will offer face to face sessions soon and will update the website in due course.
Short term and long term sessions are available. Depending on your healthcare provider or organisation, we will allocate you a number of sessions. Should you need more sessions, this can be requested.
If you are referring yourself, your therapist will give you an estimate of how many sessions you will need. However, number of sessions can change during the course of your therapy process.
We suggest that if you are having individual counselling sessions with INNATE, you do not become a member of our mental health support group (MHSG) at the same time. However, if you are a member of the MHSG, and would like to have individual counselling session, this is possible. Please contact us to arrange this.
Each session is 50 minutes long and on a weekly basis. Occasionally this may be fortnight.
