Diana Barbe is a trainee counsellor whose journey into counselling has been shaped by her background in nursing, learning support, and personal experiences with loss and grief.
As a former nurse, she provided compassionate care to individuals from diverse backgrounds, gaining a deep understanding of emotional resilience, adaptability, and the healing process. Her work in learning support reinforced the importance of emotional regulation, active listening, and creating safe spaces where individuals feel heard and understood.
These experiences, alongside her personal journey, ignited her passion for counselling—particularly in supporting those who feel unheard, unseen, or misunderstood.
Diana is committed to providing a safe, non-judgmental, and inclusive environment for clients. She aligns her practice with the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring her work is guided by professionalism, integrity, and respect. Her background in nursing has instilled a strong commitment to compassionate and ethical care, which continues to shape her approach as a counsellor.
Currently training as an integrative counsellor, Diana adapts her approach to meet the unique needs of each client. However, she naturally leans towards a person-centred approach, valuing the autonomy and innate capacity for growth in every individual. Her goal is to provide a warm, empathetic space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts and emotions at their own pace.
With empathy, warmth, and a deep respect for each client’s journey, Diana strives to build genuine, supportive therapeutic relationships. She is dedicated to walking alongside clients as they navigate their challenges, offering a space where they feel truly seen, heard, and supported.
