Supervision course – April 2026 cohort

The course runs every three months, with the next cohort starting in April 2026.

Course Description

INNATE Counselling and Psychotherapy is offering a comprehensive supervision course, mapped to both BACP and NCPS standards. This training provides a strong foundation for counsellors wishing to develop into competent, reflective, and ethical supervisors.

The training is designed to help you:

  • Understand and apply key supervision models (including the 7-eyed model and Tuckman’s group development stages)
  • Develop reflective, ethical, and effective supervision practice
  • Build confidence in supporting supervisees across a range of client issues
  • Enhance your professional standing and expand your practice opportunities

Programme structure:

Model 1: The foundations of supervision
Model 2: The supervisory relationship and group development
Model 3: Supervision skills in practice
Model 4: Self-awareness and self-care in supervision
Model 5: Group and online supervision
Model 6: Assessment and professional development

Format and delivery:

  • Online, live sessions
  • Interactive and experiential learning in small groups
  • Suitable for qualified counsellors seeking to expand their practice into supervision

Dates: Friday, 10 April – Friday, 19 June 2026
Time: 10:00 – 16:30
Format: One session every two weeks (6 sessions in total)

  • Fully qualified counsellor or psychotherapist with a minimum of two years’ post-qualification experience
  • Ability to communicate, read, and write in English

Sana Kamran - Clinical Supervision Tutor

Sana Kamran will be tutoring the Level 3 cohort starting September. She is a highly skilled integrative psychotherapist and clinical supervisor with extensive experience supporting individuals and couples through complex emotional challenges. Accredited with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), Sana combines a compassionate, client-centred approach with evidence-based methods to facilitate healing, growth, and resilience.


She is currently training in EMDR and addiction counselling, further broadening her expertise to better support clients facing trauma and dependency issues. Sana is also trained in grief, loss, bereavement, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), equipping her with specialised knowledge to help clients navigate these often overwhelming experiences.


As a couples therapist and trauma-informed practitioner, Sana creates safe, nurturing spaces for healing and transformation. She is deeply committed to empowering her students and supervisees through her role as a trainer and educator at INNATE Counselling & Psychotherapy, where she fosters reflective, ethical, and effective counselling practice.


In addition to her clinical and supervisory work, Sana is a passionate writer who uses her voice to raise awareness about mental health, grief, recovery, and emotional wellbeing. Her integrative and holistic approach reflects a belief in the power of therapy and education to promote lasting change and wellbeing.
